Michelle is originally from Wichita, KS. After completing her undergraduate degree in Secondary English and her Master’s in Library Information Services from NWOSU, she started her educational career in Medford, OK in 1997. She taught high school English and served as the Library Media Specialist for Pre-K through 12. She served on the negotiations team for 6 years, she was the High Schools That Work Coordinator, and presented numerous forums to teachers across the state regarding teaching across the curriculum and various Microsoft technology applications such as Word, Excel, and FrontPage. She also served as the Professional Development Coordinator and president of the local chapter of OEA.


Michelle moved to Woodward in 2004 to teach high school English. In 2008 she implemented an ACT/College Prep class. She served on numerous committees including Professional Development, School Safety, Standards Implementation, and Leadership. Her passion has always been building relationships with students, parents, and peers to provide the best educational experience possible.


After completing her Education Administration Master’s program at SWOSU in 2015, Michelle assumed the role of Curriculum Director for Woodward Public Schools. Her duties include selection and implementation of curriculum, coordinating the New Teacher Induction and Mentoring program, serving as the Professional Learning Communities specialist, and the district’s Public Information Officer.


Michelle and her husband Mike have 3 children. Ashley is a 2nd grade teacher in Woodward, Matt is in Physical Therapy school, and Amy is in PA school. All 3 graduated from Woodward. Once a Boomer, Always a Boomer!
