After graduating from Gage High School, Angela obtained her Associate Degree from Murray State College, undergraduate degree in Special Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Angela began her teaching career at Woodward High School as a Special Education teacher in 1994. After a 17-year teaching career Angela became an Assistant Principal at Woodward High School. After serving two years as an Assistant Principal Angela was named Principal at Highland Park Elementary. Angela later assumed the role of Special Education and Federal Programs Director and transferred to the administrative team in 2015. In 2017 Angela was named Assistant Superintendent and supervises Special Education, Federal Programs, Boomer Kids Club Daycare and child nutrition. Angela was a 2018 Graduate of Emerging Leaders and will be celebrating 25 years of service in the Woodward Public Schools system. Angela’s professional associations include CCOSA, OASA, ODSS, CASE, ASCD, and currently serving as the Legislative Liaison for Oklahoma Directors of Special Services. In addition to her work at Woodward Public Schools, Angela serves on many community boards including Mid-Day Ambucs, Northwest Literacy Counsel, Area 9 Special Olympics, Northwest Domestic Crisis Center and the Woodward Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Angela is participating in Leadership Woodward. Angela and her husband Tommie have one son, Damian, who is a Woodward High School graduate.
